We are seeking a Lab Tech 5 (Chemistry) to work in our Monroe, NC facility. In this position, you are part of an analytical process where you ensure products meet the chemistry specifications of both the industry and the customer. As a Lab Tech 5, you will take samples of metal material and test them using specific protocols. A successful candidate will need to exhibit good reasoning skills, be able to read and carry out complex technical procedures and have good attention to detail.
Additional Responsibilities
- Prepare samples by hand polishing or using a small drill press
- Breakdown, reassemble, and calibrate machine to verify the sample
- Enter results into the LIM System
- File samples in the designated retention area

Requirements
Basic Qualifications
- High School Diploma / GED
Preferred Qualifications
- Two-year technical degree, advanced high school education in Chemistry, or 1 year of related work experience
- Advanced Math Skills (including decimals, fractions, rounding, averaging, and recognizing number patterns)
- Time Management Skills
