Montross received her master’s degree in public administration from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and a bachelor’s degree in political science and broadcast communications from Appalachian State University. She has been recognized by the Charlotte Business Journal for their Women in Business and 40 under 40 awards. She currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Charlotte Regional Business Alliance, Charlotte Mecklenburg Library, and UNC Charlotte Foundation.
Tracy and her husband, Jesse Muñoz, are parents to two young boys.
