Matthews Veteran to Receive New Roof Installed

Owens Corning Roof Deployment Project Gives Back to U.S. Military Veterans

Ken Turner, a U.S. Army veteran, will receive a new roof on 7/2/2026 from Storm Guard Roofing of Charlotte, an Owens Corning Platinum Roofing Contractor, as part of the Owens Corning Roof Deployment Project.
Through a partnership with Purple Heart Homes, Ken Turner was selected and approved as the recipient for the roof replacement.

The Owens Corning Roof Deployment Project is a nationwide effort to show gratitude and honor the veterans who served our country and the families who support them. Owens Corning has been assisting military members with receiving new roofs since the inception of the program in 2016.

Who: Storm Guard Roofing of Charlotte, Purple Heart Homes, Owens Corning, and U.S. Army veteran Ken Turner. A representative from Storm Guard will be available to speak with media about the Roof Deployment Project.
 
What: Storm Guard Roofing of Charlotte is providing a new roof for U.S. Army veteran Ken Turner, as part of the Owens Corning Roof Deployment Project. The Owens Corning Foundation is donating roofing materials and Storm Guard Roofing of Charlotte is donating the labor.
