MONROE, NC — The Union County Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated proudly announces the commencement of its 2025–2026 Cotillion season—an inspiring tradition that uplifts scholarship, leadership, and community service while shaping the next generation of young women.

This year’s Cotillion proudly features four exceptional young ladies who are actively engaged in an enriching leadership development experience. Through mentorship, interactive workshops, and meaningful community service initiatives, participants are empowered to grow academically, socially, and personally—emerging as confident, service-driven leaders.

The season will culminate in the highly anticipated 2026 Cotillion Ball on Sunday, April 26, 2026 at 4:00 PM at South Piedmont Community College—an elegant and memorable evening celebrating the achievements, growth, and transformation of these outstanding participants.

The Union County Alumnae Chapter warmly invites the community to support this impactful program by purchasing tickets to attend the Cotillion Ball. Guests will enjoy an evening of sophistication, inspiration, and celebration while directly contributing to youth development and scholarship initiatives.

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. was founded in 1913 on the campus of Howard University to promote academic excellence; to provide scholarships; to provide support to the underserved; educate and stimulate participation in the establishment of positive public policy; and to highlight issues and provide solutions for problems in their communities. Today Delta Sigma Theta Sorority has over 300,000 initiated members and more than 1000 chapters worldwide, including seven in Wisconsin. The Sorority uses its Five-Point Programmatic Thrust of economic development, educational development, international awareness and involvement, physical and mental health, and political awareness and involvement to create its national and local programs.
