What started out as a kid watching his mother Fredonia Massey Simpson known as “Big Mama” bake with a passion delicious moist cakes from scratch for family, friends and church events soon became a curiosity for Ryan.
As Ryan grew into adulthood that curiosity soon grew into a hobby. It didn’t take long for the hobby to become a passion and like Big Mama, Ryan too began to bake goodies for family, friends, church events and social gatherings.
Flash forward… Ryan married an angelic cook named Angela and discovered she too watched her Mother in the kitchen and she too had inherited a special gift from her Mother Waxie Waller. Not only could Angela cook, she had a gift to bake an amazing sweet potato pie and the most delicious yams Ryan had ever tasted. The two began to bake together for family and friends and in 2013 they decided to take their passion for baking to another level.
They decided to start a homebased bakery out of their little kitchen. They realized their gift to bake irresistible cakes and pies had such a positive lasting affect on people, they decided to call their passionate business Cake Affect.
