Job Title: Programs and Events Manager

Summary:
Responsible for development, planning, and logistics of all Chamber events and programs. Responsible for the fulfillment of all Chamber event and program sponsorship deliverables. Position works closely with various committees, volunteers, and Chamber team members to ensure the successful delivery of Chamber programs and events by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  1. Responsible for creating and managing the Chamber's calendar including scheduling all events, ribbon cuttings, meetings, and programs for the calendar year.*
  2. Works with community partners, volunteers, and Chamber Team Members to ensure no overlap with other key community and chamber events for maximum attendance.*
  3. Responsible for development, planning, and logistics of all Chamber events, including scheduling, reserving appropriate venues, booking speakers, securing catering, set up room and breakdown after the event, create slides to recognize sponsors at the event, create an agenda, prepare name tags and table signs, manage volunteers, have speaker gift ready, and other necessary components of a successful event.*
  4. Coordinates with sponsors to determine attendees, ensures sponsorship deliverables are met, and determines if there are any special needs or requirements to be met.*
  5. Ensures all events are consistent with the Chamber's stated goals and objectives.*
  6. Responsible for managing expenses and revenue to ensure financial success.*
  7. Responsible for development, planning, and logistics for all Chamber programs including Leadership Union, Emerging Leaders, Women in Business, and other programs as assigned by the President.*
  8. Creates, distributes, and compiles results for all surveys to solicit prompt, meaningful feedback on events, programs, and overall satisfaction with the Chamber.*
  9. Works closely with the Business Development Manager, and the Chamber President/CEO to ensure the financial goals of each program and event are achieved by providing meaningful, quality events and programs.*
  10. Works closely with the Communications Director to ensure successful marketing of all events and programs to drive attendance.*
  11. Works closely with other Chamber team members to achieve chamber goals and objectives within time frame specified by the president.*
  12. Performs all other duties as may be assigned by the President.

Language Ability:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft software, spreadsheet software, and able to use CRM and other systems

Education/Experience:
Associate’s degree; one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Salary and Benefits: 
$50,000 annual salary
Healthcare after 1 month
Simple IRA after 1 year of employment
PTO elligible from first day
