South Piedmont Community College will host an information session for those interested in training for a new career through the Pre-Apprenticeship IMPACT program.
 
The event will take place at 6 p.m. on June 1 at the Tyson Family Center for Technology, 3509 Old Charlotte Highway in Monroe.
 
Attendees of the event will learn how to register for a free pre-apprenticeship class that will lead to guaranteed interviews with local employers for paid apprenticeship positions that come with free education and training.
