Event Description:
Tax forms are changing again in 2020. Learn what it means for your business and hear tips from Marie Starnes, CPA and Baxter Starnes, CPA.  They will discuss how the changes affect businesses structured as a corporation, partnership or sole proprietorship. 

Specifically, they will be discussing:
  • The Qualified Business Income Deduction
  • Changes to depreciation related to bonuses and vehicles
  • Limits and other information regarding IRAs and Health Savings Accounts
  • The impact the 2020 NC income law changes will have on your business

Marie Starnes is a local certified public accountant with more than 16 years of experience working for a public accounting firm before starting her own firm in 2018.  The firm specializes in small to medium sized companies, tax planning, accounting services, payroll services, individual and business tax returns as well as building relationships with fellow community members.

Baxter Starnes is a lifelong resident of Union County, currently residing in the Parkwood area near Waxhaw. he graduated from Parkwood High School and UNCC with a major in accounting. Baxter is a Certified Public Accountant.
