Public Policy - Union County: Vision for the Future

Public Policy - Union County: Vision for the Future

In the past 30 years Union County has added over 150,000 residents and is projected to add nearly the same amount over the next 30 years. With this level of continuous growth comes opportunities and challenges. The Union County 2050 Comprehensive Plan was the result of months of work by dozens of community leaders with input from hundreds of residents. The 2050 Plan establishes a vision of the community for the future, with recommendations for infrastructure, land use, economic development, and environmental protection that help implement the vision.

Join us for this Public Policy Luncheon featuring Deputy County Manager Michelle Lancaster (Union County) who will discuss the process for developing the 2050 Comprehensive Plan, implementation of the plan, and its impact on the future of Union County.

Also Union County Chamber Public Policy Consultant Brian Francis (Francis Consulting) will discuss the Chamber's 2022 Legislative Agenda. Brian will discuss the process used to develop the Agenda, the three focus areas the Agenda addresses, and next steps in the Chamber's advocacy work.

The Chamber's Public Policy program is designed to create a business-friendly environment in our community through advocacy, education, and leadership. The Chamber convenes community leaders and influencers, business leaders, and community stakeholders to provide a series of forums for relevant discussions about policies impacting business.
