Let's Talk Government Contracting! Minority Contractor Panel Discussion

The Small Business Center, the Union County Chamber, and Anson County Chamber have partnered to bring this session and a complete 8-session informational series on Government Contracting to you. This series will be available in-person and virtually. 

Get the inside scoop on government contacting from an experienced panel of local Minority-Owned small businesses. You’ll hear firsthand lessons learned from business owners who have successfully navigated the government contracting process to secure Government contracts.

Panelists:
Rachelle Adams is the Business Development Manager for Roundtree Companies LLC, a residential and commercial landscaping contractor providing landscape design and installation, grounds maintenance, hardscape construction, and seasonal clean-up and maintenance services. Rachelle and the Roundtree team are on a mission to enrich lives and enhance communities through exceptional landscape and grounds maintenance services.

Jack Ossa is an architect, designer, and podcast host dedicated to creating positive change through design, strategy, and technology. Originally from Medellin, Colombia, he earned his architecture degree in Bogota before moving to the U.S. Inspired by his lifelong immigrant dream, Jack founded Ossa Studio in Charlotte, NC. His firm offers a diverse range of design services, including architecture, interior design, and branding. As a minority-owned business, Ossa Studio has leveraged government contracting opportunities to grow and expand its service offerings.

Zahn Patin is the Founder and Principal Consultant at The Wonder Group, Management Consulting firm focusing on promoting equity through projects and programs that improve the world. The firm develops strategies that deliver outcomes. Zahn is driven to close economic disparity gaps by promoting diversity, equity and inclusion, community outreach, workforce development and training initiatives across the Southeastern region of the United States. Zahn is a serial social entrepreneur and throughout her career, she has worked with Fortune 200 companies, like Celanese (Sell-ah-Neese) Chemicals, Novartis, and KPMG.

Dr. LaShana Wiggs is the Founder and Principal Consultant at Savvi Consulting LLC, a firm dedicated to people-centered organizational change and operational support. With over 20 years of leadership experience in the financial services industry, including roles at Wachovia Corporation, U.S. Bancorp, and Wells Fargo, Dr. Wiggs is an expert in Bank Secrecy Act/Anti-Money Laundering (BSA/AML) Compliance, Risk Operations, Fraud Prevention, and both Consumer and Commercial Banking. Her focus areas include administration, organizational transformation, and leadership development. Dr. Wiggs has significantly contributed to financial crimes automation and digitization, helping institutions address process and technology deficiencies to resolve regulatory enforcement actions. She is a co-inventor on a U.S. Patent for a dynamic interface used by a leading financial institution to digitize, store, and verify customer and organizational data.
