Emerging Leaders Luncheon: Harnessing Self-Awareness for Effective Communication and Improved Performance

Emerging Leaders Luncheon: Harnessing Self-Awareness for Effective Communication and Improved Performance

In this final session, we’ll dive into the crucial role communication plays in leadership success. Building on our discussions about understanding leadership beyond the job description, seeing through your boss's eyes, and mastering cross-generational communication and Navigating Leadership, we'll now focus on how poor communication can make it difficult to achieve our goals we may set based on our previous discussions. By becoming more self-aware and utilizing interactive tools, you’ll learn to refine your communication, making it clearer and more concise. This session will empower you to increase productivity and reduce the high costs associated with ineffective communication, culminating in a more successful journey to become a great Leader.

Join us at the September Emerging Leaders Luncheon to learn more. Drawing from his 10 years as a New York cop and 18 years as a communication skills trainer, Mike Rabinowitz will use his "street corner approach" with humor and storytelling to provide practical tools you can apply immediately. This approach will help foster a communicative culture that enhances performance and allows you to communicate in a way that optimizes your performance.

Mike is an experienced speaker and trainer. He spent the first part of his career as a New York City Police Officer. Working in a special unit, Mike communicated with community leaders as well as inspired high school students to start their life on the right track. Mike discovered the important connection between communication skills and law enforcement, as well as building a relationship with the community he was protecting.
After his police career, Mike used his experience and expertise and found himself in the world of customer service, training folks on the importance of communication and leadership skills. Mike became so passionate about helping agents connect with customers; he started training call center agents to help create a positive customer experience.
Mike now strives to help companies, thru speaking and training, to prepare their employees to become better at connecting with co-workers, customers and management. Mike uses stories from real life experiences and his expertise of communication skills to inspire people to communicate to success.
Mike believes it’s time to take responsibility and get “real” about creating effective relationships.  Using his “street corner approach”, Mike will help you realize that it’s our self-awareness and accountability that will help us to be more effective communicators.
