Dr. Sergio Castello
Dr. Sergio Castello was raised in Barcelona, Spain and moved to the United States at the age of 18. He holds a Ph.D. in economics from Colorado State University and an MBA from the University of Memphis. He has been in academia for almost 30 years and has served as a consultant for the Inter-American Development Bank throughout Latin America. He is currently the Dean of the Porter B. Byrum School of Business at Wingate University.
Kamella Emmanuel, IPMA -SCP, CDC, CPC, ELI-MP
Kamella is the CEO of Keep Evolving Consulting and an Executive Coach. Originally from the United Kingdom, Kamella spent over 15 years working in Leadership Development for the British Embassy as a diplomat in locations across the world. These Embassy posts included serving more than four years in Kingston, Jamaica and over three years in Abuja, Nigeria and three to six months in Indonesia and Thailand.
Kamella has a B.S. in Public Administration and Education from the University of Surrey in London, England, and is a Certified Diversity Practitioner and Professional Executive Coach.
Kamella has been featured on Fox 46, WURD Radio and Collective Conversations as a leading Diversity expert on Implicit Bias and Inclusion in the workplace.
Marlin Smith, SHRM-SCP
Marlin D. Smith is a dynamic HR professional who is passionate about helping employees and companies find common ground for success. Marlin has been a featured speaker and presenter with the Society for Human Resource Management for several years, presenting at State and National conferences on leadership, and diversity & inclusion, and unconscious bias.
Due to his ability to mix humor, relatability and strong content, he
consistently receives high marks from session attendees. A graduate of the University of Chicago (AB’97), Marlin is also a Dale Carnegie graduate. He currently serves as Director of Human Resources at ConMet with oversight of their U.S. plants. He and his family reside in Charlotte, North Carolina.
