2021 Union County Property Revaluation - Business Builder Events

2021 Union County Property Revaluation - Business Builder Events

North Carolina Law requires counties to regularly revalue property to assess property taxes based on the current market value of the property. Union County is currently in the process of its 2021 Revaluation.

To help residential and commercial property owners better understand the process, we have invited Union County Tax Administrator Vann Harrell to share at the February Business Builder.

He will discuss:

  • Why the County is reassessing now
  • The process for the reassessment
  • How it will affect taxes for property owners
  • The appeals process
He will also answer your questions about the process.

Can't make the meeting live? Register anyway, and we'll send you the recording.

Registration for this event is a 2-step process:

  • Once you complete your registration here, you will receive a confirmation email with a link to a form.
  • Once you complete that form, you will receive a second email containing information about joining the meeting.  You MUST complete this step to be admitted to the meeting. Once you have completed your registration, please do not share your meeting link with anyone

Vann Harrell has 21 years of experience in state and local taxation, beginning his career with North Carolina Department of Revenue in 2000.  He served as Tax Collector in Martin County before joining Union County as the Revenue Division Director.  He was appointed as Tax Administrator in 2017.

Vann is a certified North Carolina Assessor and Tax Collector, past President of the Central Piedmont Tax Assessors and Collectors Association, as well as a member of the N.C. Association of Assessing Officers, the International Association of Assessing Officers, and the North Carolina Tax Collector?s Association.
