Join the Union County Chamber with a look ahead to 2021. Union County Public Health Director Dennis Joyner will join us to discuss the Public Health forecast for 2021, including an outlook on the state of the COVID-19 outbreak in Union County.
Phillip Neuhart, Senior Vice President and Manager of Institutional Portfolio Strategy for First Citizens bank will share a national, state-wide, and regional outlook of what you can expect in the economy for 2021.

Dennis Joyner has focused most of his professional career in public health settings in North Carolina. He currently serves as Director of the Division of Public Health with the Union County Human Services Agency.
Prior to this appointment in December 2017, he served as the Stanly County Health Director for over 12 years. Dennis was the 2018 President of the N.C. Association of Local Health Directors. Prior to his county health director posts, he was the Director of the Carolinas Community Health Institute, a community health assessment and planning initiative of Carolina HealthCare System in Charlotte.
His career has had extensive involvement in various community health improvement initiatives and he has held positions from a solo community health educator in a small rural county to a county health director.
Phillip Neuhart is the Manager of the Institutional Portfolio Strategy Team at First Citizens Bank. Mr. Neuhart and his team function as the liaison between the Capital Management Group and institutional clients, working closely with both the team and client to develop investment policies, asset allocations, manager structure, and performance analytics and reporting.
Prior to joining First Citizens, Mr. Neuhart worked as an Institutional Equity Strategist with Morgan Stanley in New York. In this role, he provided US equity market research for institutional clients, equity research analysts, traders, and sales associates. This research was focused on fundamental and quantitative equity market analysis, weighted sector allocations and S&P500 price strategies.
Prior to his time with Morgan Stanley, he served as both an Institutional Equity Strategist and Economist with Wachovia-Wells Fargo Capital Markets. Mr. Neuhart is a graduate of Duke University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics.
