The Village of Lake Park, Parks and Recreation will host its 2^nd annual Memorial Day Ceremony to honor the men and women who died while serving our country, on Monday, May 25th from 11am – 12pm at Veterans Pond, located on Creft Circle behind Faith United Methodist Church, 3708 Faith Church Road Lake Park, NC 28079.

Veteran speakers include Mr. B. L. Starnes District III President of Union Power Cooperative and Marine Corps Recruiting Staff Sergeant John York. This year’s Keynote Speaker is Jason Braase of the Wounded Warrior Project®, also speaking NC House Representative Dean Arp and Village of Lake Park Mayor Mr. David Cleveland. The presentation of colors is provided by the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2423 Color Guard, Patriotic music by Marty Vanderlip and more.

100 Main Beef & BBQ and WhatsWater Ice of the Carolinas will be onsite to curb your hunger or fulfill sweet cravings and people are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket to this can’t miss Memorial Day Ceremony.
