Join us on Wednesday, June 13, 2012, as Moses Fox, III, Area Director with the Union County Salvation Army Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Charlotte presents, “The Essence of Mentoring…Starts with YOU!” A mentor will become not only your advisor, but your friend and confidante. That doesn't happen instantly—building trust and personal interest takes time. You set the tone at the outset of the relationship by demonstrating your commitment to the process. Moses will share how finding the right mentor can help you achieve your highest of goals.
As Union County Area Director for the Salvation Army Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Charlotte, Moses’ responsibilities include managing day-to-day administrative, operational, and community engagement responsibilities for Union County. Prior to joining the Boys & Girls Club, Moses was the Achievement Coordinator in the High Priority Educational Clusters in Union County. In this position he had the responsibility of developing programs for students and parents to assist in combating attendance, discipline, and academic shortcomings. In this role, Moses established the Leadership Alliance Mentoring Program at two middle schools, and he eventually formed the committee who is credited with starting the Boys & Girls Club of Union County. During the last 10 years, Moses has held several leadership positions within for-profit and non-profit entities, specializing in youth services, and or communications. He has spoken publicly at conferences, seminars, and trainings on issues pertaining to student success and mentoring.
