“Life is short. Spend it with people who make you laugh.”

Tickets for groups of 10 or more are $1 off per ticket.
The Savannah Sipping Society was written by the same comedy writing team of Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope, and Jamie Wooten, who wrote last season’s sold out production of The Dixie Swim Club.
Directed by the award-winning director Polly Adkins, this production promises to be another laugh-a-minute theater event. The play is about four Southern women, all needing to escape their day-to-day routines, drawn together by fate—and an impromptu happy hour. Randa, a perfectionist and workaholic; Dot, still reeling from her husband’s recent demise; earthy and boisterous Marlafaye, a good ol’ Texas gal; and new to town, Jinx, a spunky fireball, who offers her services as a life coach for these women. Hilarious misadventures and the occasional liquid refreshment lead the ladies to discover lasting friendships and a renewed determination to live in the moment.
Savannah Sipping Society is the second production of the Playmakers’ 2017-18 season. The first is a Readers Theater production of A Trip to Bountiful also held at Monroe Crossing on Aug. 27, with locally acclaimed award winning actress Ginger Heath in the leading role. Visit to see the whole season and purchase season tickets.
