Union County Chamber Receives Award
The Union County Chamber of Commerce was recently recognized by the Carolinas Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives (CACCE) at their Leadership Development Conference in Salisbury, NC. The CACCE awarded Communication Excellence Awards to recognize outstanding communications efforts by chambers of commerce in North and South Carolina. Chambers from both states competed for the Communication Excellence Awards in the following four categories: Advertising & Marketing, Campaigns, Electronic, and Publications. Entries were judged based on originality, design / quality, and results achieved.
The Union County Chamber received the 2017 CACCE Communications Excellence Award in the Electronic Category for the successful impact of the Chamber’s social media marketing program. The Chamber utilizes social media to enhance engagement, provide information, promote chamber member organizations, and to communicate with the community at-large. As part of their strategy, the Union County Chamber implemented a “Social Center” at key events to increase engagement and awareness; and expanded its presence on additional social media channels to reach a broader, more diverse audience.
“Our strategic use of social media has been a key component in the growth of our Chamber membership, increased engagement among our members, and has allowed the Chamber to reach a broader audience,” stated Chamber President Pat Kahle. “We appreciate the recognition of our communications program from the CACCE and their affirmation of the work we are doing in our community. In addition, we’d like to thank our social media partner, SNA Today, for their assistance in developing and executing our long-term strategy.”
