Buzz & Bloom Media is looking to expand our network of freelance social media managers for ongoing project-based work.

We're seeking an experienced social media professional with 3+ years of experience who is highly organized, proactive, and comfortable managing their own workload. This is not a heavily managed role. We're looking for someone who can take ownership of assigned projects, communicate clearly, and consistently meet deadlines with minimal oversight.

Our clients range from consumer packaged goods (CPG) brands to nonprofit and advocacy organizations, so we're looking for someone who can adapt their voice and strategy to different audiences.

Responsibilities may include:

• Social media scheduling and publishing
• Caption writing and content optimization
• Community engagement and account monitoring
• Monthly analytics reporting and performance summaries
• Assisting with content planning and campaign execution
• Identifying relevant trends and opportunities across platforms
• Supporting client accounts as needed on a project basis

Requirements:

• 3+ years of professional social media marketing experience
• Strong understanding of Instagram and TikTok
• Ability to identify and apply trends strategically for different brands and audiences
• Strong copywriting and communication skills
• Experience compiling and interpreting social media analytics
• Excellent organization and time management skills
• Ability to work independently and self-manage deadlines
• Familiarity with Canva, Meta Business Suite, and common scheduling tools

Preferred Experience:

• Consumer packaged goods (CPG), food, or beverage brands
• Nonprofit and advocacy organizations
• Community management and audience engagement

Location:
Preference will be given to freelancers located in North Carolina, particularly within or near the Charlotte metro area.
