In spite of all that they are already doing, women have difficulty saying 'no,' whether in their careers or personal lives. And failing to negotiate on their own behalf, they may also thwart their own professional and personal aspirations.
Come join Dr. Dawn Chanland, Associate Professor of Management in the McColl School of Business at Queens University, as she explains to the Union County Women in Business how and when to say 'no' in your career and how to negotiate when you need to be your own best advocate.
At this luncheon, you will learn to:
Consider your big picture aspirations and priorities as a frame for requests.
Identify whether any true costs exist in saying 'no.'
Recognize and prepare for a discussion when you need to be your own best advocate.
Counter 'no' responses to your self-advocacy.
Join your Chamber at this UCWIB Luncheon and take away important tips for your personal and professional lives! Non-Members are always welcome.
