Julie Bee is the founder of BeeSmart Social Media and a small business leadership consultant. Julie?s small business journey began at fifteen, when she started a tutoring business that she maintained through high school and college. Throughout her life and career, Julie has repeatedly found herself in entrepreneurial roles, both working for other small business owners and running her own businesses. In many of her speeches and talks, Julie gets vulnerable and shares her mistakes to help those listening avoid the mistakes she?s made along the way.
In 2008, Julie founded BeeSmart Social Media and still leads the organization today, practicing her entrepreneurial principles centered on compassionate and empathetic leadership. She founded her personal consulting business in 2020, where she helps business owners and leaders learn the skills they need to nurture and grow other leaders. Julie is a graduate of Goldman Sachs 10,000 Small Businesses program and has been a finalist for several prestigious business awards. Julie has also served as chairperson on a local board of directors where she led a team of 14 volunteer board members, and hundreds of other volunteers. In addition, Julie regularly advocates to State and National legislature on behalf of small businesses. She also works with community colleges in the Charlotte-area to support and mentor locally owned, minority business owners.
