Event Description:

Apply now for Union County's NC Pre-K program! The state program is free for income eligible students who are four years old on August 31, 2019. 

Participation in NC Pre-K strengthens students? academic, social and classroom skillsin preparation for Kindergarten. NC Pre-K follows the Union County Public Schools calendar and students attend six and one-half hours each day. Regular, on-time attendance is an expectation so students receive the full benefit of the program.  

There are spots available in twenty-three classes at twelve different sites. (Some classes are filling quickly.) For students who live near Oakboro, students can attend NC Pre-K at Oakboro Kid?s Club. Site requests may be listed on the student?s application.  Keep in mind that each classroom has a maximum of eighteen students ? apply quickly!
