SUMMARY:Selling to the Federal Government for the Veteran-Owned Small Business
DESCRIPTION:This webinar is an introduction to doing business with the federal government presented by the NC Military Business Center with a focus on Veterans and Service Disabled Veteran Small Businesses. Topics include levels of federal purchasing\; how the federal government buys products\, construction and engineering and non-personal services\; marketing a business to the federal government\; socio-economic small business programs\; registering as a federal contractor\; locating\, identifying and responding to federal business opportunities\; and resources available to assist federal contractors in North Carolina. Small businesses owned by veterans can compete for set-aside contracts at the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). The VA also sets aside contracting opportunities for businesses owned by veterans who are service-disabled\, with a goal of awarding at least 3% of all federal contracting dollars to Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) each year. This webinar explains how to certify a business for SDVOSB status and compete for set-aside contract at many federal agencies.\n\nSpeaker(s): Fran Perez-Wilhite\, NC Military Business Center\n\nCo-Sponsor(s): NC Military Business Center
