DESCRIPTION:Due to the Union County water advisory and the closing of Union County Public Schools and Union Academy\, today's event has been cancelled.\n\nWe will re-evaluate if/when the event will be rescheduled and will notify our membership accordingly.\n\nRefunds will be issued to all attendees.\n\nThank you for your understanding.\n\n\nThe Union County Education Summit Luncheon is a part of the Chamber's Public Policy Luncheon Series.  Our "Cradle Through Career" discussion will focus on education in Union County and how we are preparing the next generation for the workplace. \n\n\n\nThe 2020 Education Summit will feature these panelists:\n\nDr. Maria Pharr\, President of South Piedmont Community College\n\nDr.  Andrew Houlihan\, Superintendent of Union County Public Schools\n\nDr. Travis Teague\, Vice Provost and Dean\, College of Professional Studies\, Wingate University\, \n\nJim Zorn\, High School Principal\, Union Academy\n\nLinda Smith\, Executive Director of Alliance for Children\n\n \n\nOur moderator is Jeff Atkinson\, Assistant VP - Strategic Partnerships\, Wingate University.\n\n\n\nHear from these leaders about their vision for their institutions\, how they are collaborating to meet the needs of Union County students\, and how their efforts will impact the rapidly-changing workforce needs of business and industry.
