DESCRIPTION:EVENT SOLD OUT\n\n\n\nJoin us for our second in a series of Business Networking Luncheons focused on Union County's 14 municipalities.  This series features updates from elected officials and/or local municipal managers providing attendees with information about what's going well and the challenges each municipality faces.\n\n\n\nThis month\, we are featuring updates from the Town of Indian Trail and will feature guest speakers\, Mayor Michael Alvarez and Town Manager Patrick Sadek.  They will provide updates about the Town\, current projects under construction\, future plans for the Town\, challenges facing the Town\, and outline Indian Trail's role in the Charlotte region.\n\nCome have lunch with your Chamber\, make some great connections and hear the latest from the Town of Indian Trail!\n\nCatering provided by Chef Henry Catering\n\n \n\n\n\nMichael Alvarez\, Mayor\n\nMichael Alvarez has served as Mayor of Indian Trail since 2012. \n\n \n\nHe was instrumental in advocating for the creation of Kilah's law and continues to be a strong advocate for protecting children and creating better access to mental health programs. \n\n \n\nMayor Alvarez also started the Mayor's Tree Initiative which teaches 4th graders the importance of trees to the community and\, to date together with UCPS\, has planted over 7000 trees throughout Indian Trail.\n\n \n\n\n\nPatrick Sadek is currently serving as Indian Trail's Town Manager since early 2017.\n\nPatrick served as Myrtle Beach's Town Engineer for seven years and\, prior to that\, he worked for the City of Charlotte for 15 years\, working in their CDOT\, Engineering \, and CATS departments.\n\n\n\nEarly In his career\, he worked for NCDOT and three national engineering consulting firms in various civil engineering fields.
