Sodoma Law Announces Mediation Practice

Experienced advocates Russ Brinson and Patra Sinner to begin new mediation practice at Charlotte-based law firm

CHARLOTTE, NC — August 10, 2017 — Sodoma Law, a leading full-service law firm headquartered in Charlotte, North Carolina, with multiple offices in both Mecklenburg and Union Counties in North Carolina, as well as in York County in South Carolina, now offers mediation services. Business litigation attorney Russ Brinson and family law attorney Patra Sinner, both known for their tenacious, compassionate advocacy for their clients, are leading this new offering for the firm.

“Mediation is a natural extension of Sodoma Law’s commitment to finding the best resolution possible for our clients’ cases,” said Nicole Sodoma, Managing Principal, Sodoma Law. “Both Russ and Patra bring depth and breadth of experience to their work as mediators, and look forward to mitigating stress for the parties and attorneys they assist through saving them from the litigation process and trial, if possible.”

Russ Brinson provides mediation, litigation and advocacy services to a wide variety of individuals and businesses. Originally from Eastern North Carolina, Russ has keen insights into North Carolina businesses, employees, and their individual legal needs. He is certified by the North Carolina Dispute Resolution Commission to conduct Superior Court mediations.

Through his experience in the courtroom, Russ has gained the unique perspective that can only be acquired after working with clients on both sides of these cases. These skills have molded him into a tenacious mediator, one who understands the risks, goals and fears of both the plaintiff and defendant, and who works with both sides to help them achieve the best result.   He has helped business owners, organizations, and employees with disputes; has an understanding of insurance litigation; and has handled personal injury cases.

Patra Sinner has dedicated her practice to family law for almost two decades and is licensed in both North Carolina and South Carolina. She became a North Carolina Board Certified Family Law Specialist in 2008 and is now a certified Family Financial Mediator.

As an attorney advocate in her family law practice, particularly those that are high conflict and complex, Patra encourages her clients to utilize the mediation process in order to best control the client’s desired outcome.  In her role as mediator, she is looking forward to drawing on those experiences to provide parties and their attorneys the insight and understanding to help them make informed decisions. Her mission is to help resolve family law cases and lessen burdens and anxiety that accompany the litigation process.
