Job Title:  Member Services Coordinator -- Part Time (25 hours per week)


Job Description:
Summary: Responsible for relaying incoming telephone calls, greeting visitors, providing general information about the Chamber and Union County community, building and maintaining positive relationships with current members, implementing processes for communication projects, and performing diversified clerical duties in a professional and efficient manner by performing the following duties.

 
Duties and Responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned. 
  1. Answers multi-line telephone system, takes accurate messages and transfers telephone calls to the appropriate person in an efficient and professional manner.* 
  2. Greets and screens incoming visitors in a professional manner and promptly notifies appropriate person of their arrival.* 
  3. Provides general information about Chamber services and events, community information, and assists visitors as appropriate.* 
  4. Receives and signs for courier deliveries and notifies appropriate personnel that packages have arrived.* 
  5. Receives, sorts, and distributes incoming mail and prepares outgoing mail in a timely manner.* 
  6. Assists team members with set up of events, preparation, and distribution of materials, and any other duties related to events, programs, and meetings.* 
  7. Maintains membership information in the Chamber CRM database for quality control and accuracy and updates information as directed.* 
  8. Assists the Director of Operations and Member Services with accurate completion of any assigned duties relating to financial processes and procedures.* 
  9. Makes contacts as assigned on current members to encourage member involvement, retention, and goodwill.* 
  10. Assists with resolution to member concerns and service issues through coordination with other Chamber Team Members.* 
  11. Handles requests from members for general services like preparing certificates of origin.* 
  12. Prepares correspondence and various documentation in proper format, proofreads, and distributes as assigned.* 
  13. Maintains proper response letters on file for various incoming correspondence.* 
  14. Files correspondence and documents as necessary.* 
  15. Maintains and monitors all lobby literature and bulletin boards to ensure all material is up-to-date, neat, orderly, and displayed only by current Chamber Members.* 
  16. Works closely with other Chamber Team Members to achieve overall Chamber goals and objectives within time frame specified by the President.* 
  17. Make trips to the post office, bank and other errands for the benefit of the Chamber. 
  18. Perform all other duties as may be assigned.  
Qualifications:

Language Ability:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.  Bi-lingual is desired. 
Math Ability:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. 
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations. 
Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office Products including: Word, Excel, Publisher, PowerPoint.  Knowledge of WordPress, how to work with various social media sites, and working with photo and video software is a desired. 
Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
