Serving on a nonprofit board can be a great opportunity for community service while also making great connections. This special board training session is provided by a collaboration between the Union County Chamber and United Way of Central Carolinas.
Join us for this special Young Professional's Board Training. Donna Dunlap, Executive Director of Big Brother, Big Sisters will facilitate this special training session. As a young professional, you'll learn more about how to join a nonprofit board, what specific skills are needed to be an effective board member, and learn why board service is important.
Donna Dunlap joined Big Brother Big Sisters of Greater Charlotte (BBBS) as the Chief Executive Officer in 2016. She has over 30 years of not-for-profit board and for-profit leadership experience.
Donna has served as an active board member on several local, non-profit boards during her eight years in Charlotte. They include the YWCA Central Carolinas, Girl Scouts Hornet’s Nest Council – Board Chair and the Levine Museum. She currently is serving on the Board of Trustees for The Fletcher School and is a member of the Women Executives organization. She is also a graduate of Leadership Charlotte – Class 33.
Donna attended Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia where she earned a BA in Psychology. She also attended the University of Connecticut where she earned her masters degree in Business Administration and was selected as a University Fellow.
